Baotou exports reach $1.5b
Baotou Customs announced that in the first 11 months of this year, the city's exports reached 10.69 billion yuan ($1.53 billion), a year-on-year increase of 3.7 percent and the highest among cities in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Since the beginning of this year, Baotou Customs has continued to implement policies to help the city build a high-level opening up platform. It has promoted cross-border trade facilitation, bolstered international trade, and ensured the smooth import of raw materials and export of finished products.
At the same time, customs has promoted the "intelligent audit + self-service printing" approval model of the certificate of origin, followed up the application of RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) of enterprises, and helped foreign trade enterprises seize development opportunities.
Additionally, the city's foreign trade enterprises have received support in boosting the Belt and Road Initiative. Baotou has supported the import of important raw materials and export of "Baotou manufacturing" brands such as steel products and mining vehicles.
In doing so, the city has ensured the safety and stability of the industrial and supply chain and promoted the high-quality development of foreign trade in the city.
