Agricultural products from Baotou sent across country
SF full-freighter flights loaded with cargo took off from Baotou Airport and headed for the domestic logistics hub cities of Taiyuan and Hangzhou on Dec 26. From there, the cargo will be distributed throughout the country.
This marks the successful opening of the first all-freighter route at Baotou Airport, which will help distribute characteristic industrial products from Baotou.

Baotou Airport adopted a direct organization model known as "airline + logistics enterprise", giving full play to the punctuality and stability of full-freighter transportation, and further reducing the transportation cost of goods.
Taking mutton as an example, it is estimated that local transportation costs can be reduced by about 1500 yuan ($215) and transportation cut by at least 12 hours per metric ton of mutton.
At the same time, the opening of the full-freighter supplements the insufficient transportation capacity of the existing belly compartment, which will greatly enhance the city's characteristic industrial product cargo circulation and transportation capacity, fill the gap in multimodal aviation bulk cargo transportation in the city, and aid in the high-quality development of the city's modern logistics industry.

The new Baotou-Taiyuan-Hangzhou full-freighter route has a maximum cargo capacity of 30 tons per round trip and will operate five times a week.
