The report was divided into three parts, including a summary of the work done in 2022, work arrangements for 2023, and the construction of the government.
According to the report, the city's GDP reached 380 billion yuan ($49.07 billion) in 2022, an increase of about 7.5 percent year-on-year, and the general public budget revenue exceeded 17.3 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6 percent.
Meanwhile, the added value of enterprises above designated size in the city increased by more than 18 percent, fixed asset investment increased by more than 20 percent, and the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents increased by 6 percent and 7 percent respectively.
Despite multiple rounds of epidemic outbreaks, Baotou still insisted on building new momentum and completed 432 new projects worth more than 100 million yuan and had an investment to the amount of 94.3 billion yuan. At the same time, 81 enterprises above designated size were newly added in the city.
With the arrival of the new year, Baotou will continue to implement its innovation-driven development strategy and make every effort to develop itself into the "world's rare earth capital" and the "world's green silicon capital". It will also make every effort to develop and expand its port economy in the coming years.
