Enterprise in Baotou leads 100,000-ton silicon industry

From the beginning of civil work on Aug 10, 2021 to the production of the first batch of polysilicon products on June 30, 2022 to a business income exceeding 3.2 billion yuan ($471.61 million), Inner Mongolia Xinte Silicon Material Co has built the first polysilicon production line with an annual output of 100,000 metric tons in the industry.
The company, founded on Feb 9, 2021, has won many honors, such as the May Day Labor Medal of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and was recognized as a Model Worker Innovation Studio.
The company has carried out extensive research R&D on the polysilicon production process and reduced power consumption so as to conserve energy and reduce emissions.
New waste liquid treatment technology researched by the company converts waste silicon tetrachloride into new high value-added products, forming a green recycling industrial chain.
Additionally, the company has cooperated with top scientific research institutes and universities to build smart factories. Using 5G, industrial big data, artificial intelligence, industrial internet platforms and other information technologies, it has built digitalized, networked and intelligent chemical plants.
