Baotou high-tech zone wins national green industrial park award
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the 2021 green manufacturing list, with Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone being the only industrial park in Inner Mongolia autonomous region to be included.
In recent years, the zone has formed four leading industries – rare earth, non-ferrous metals, equipment manufacturing and new energy, following the concept of green, low-carbon and circular development.
The zone is among the three biggest producers of rare earth permanent magnetic materials in China, and is the nation's biggest producer of hydrogen storage materials and polishing materials.
In the deep processing industry of non-ferrous metals, the ecological economy industry chain of electrolytic aluminium and aluminium deep processing led by East Hope Baotou Rare Earth Aluminium Co, as well as the green economy industry chain of electrolytic copper and copper deep processing led by Huading Copper Development, have been further improved.
In the equipment manufacturing industry, enterprises represented by Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock, with the help of big data and Internet of Things technology, are constantly moving up the value chain.
Additionally, in the new energy industry, major enterprises are gradually realizing a "digital management and intelligent production" model, as seen with the 40 GW monocrystalline silicon project of Shuangliang Group.
