Baotou recently held a mobilization conference for investment attraction, talent attraction and optimization of the business environment, during which the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial and Development zone promoted a number of tasks.

Wu Junjun, secretary of the Party working committee of the zone, proposed that the zone strive to "become one of the top 50 national-level high-tech zones".

In 2023, the zone will introduce more than 65 projects with a total investment of more than 100 million yuan ($14.74 million) each, and the amount of domestic funds will increase by more than 15 percent. It will also introduce three to five leading talent teams, over 700 talents, and more than 2,500 industrial workers, as well as create a healthy business environment.

The zone plans to hold the 15th China Baotou Rare Earth Industry Forum and other investment promotion activities to promote the implementation of the Ningbo Zhaobao Magnetic Industry, Zhejiang Xinlin Magnetic Industry and other projects, as well as form a number of new economic growth points to build Baotou into the "world's rare earth capital".

At the same time, the zone will promote the construction of the Shuangliang Phase III 50 GW large-size monocrystalline silicon project with a total investment of 10.5 billion yuan, and introduce relevant supporting enterprises, helping turn Baotou into the "world's green silicon capital".

In addition, the Baotou Tianhe Magnetic Technology Co and Baotou Inst Dilute Magnetics New Material Co in the zone will strive to get listed within the year.
