In order to deepen cultural and tourism cooperation between North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region and South China's Guangdong province, a delegation from Inner Mongolia went to Guangzhou and Shenzhen from Feb 8 to 11 to carry out culture and tourism investment promotions and publicity activities.
At the Guangzhou promotion conference on Feb 9, the Baotou bureau of culture and tourism signed an investment framework agreement for a theme park with Parket Group. Meanwhile, Baotou tourism enterprises participated in the signing of the cooperation agreement in order to mutually attract tourists within the two regions.
Tian Jinming, the president of the Baotou Travel Agency Association, said, "This time we came to Guangdong, we signed an agreement with local tourism enterprises, and plan to mutually attract nearly 50,000 tourists between the two places. At the same time, we discussed introducing tourists from Guangdong to Inner Mongolia to travel, and will open special trains and charter flights for this purpose."
On Feb 10, the bureau was the first to present at the Shenzhen promotion conference, which had a warm response. At the same time, tourists from Hong Kong and Macao were invited to participate in the promotion meeting. A special winter tourism promotion was also conducted for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
"We often cooperate with the travel agencies in Baotou. I have never been to Baotou myself, but from today's promotion meeting, the scenery and food in Baotou are particularly attractive to me. We also welcome residents of Baotou to visit Guangdong," Shen Chen, general manager of Guangdong Huayi Travel Agency, said after the promotion meeting.
