The final of the Baotou Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Baotou on Feb 16. Of the 11 finalists, six enterprises will set up operations in Hondlon district in Baotou, while the other five reached technical cooperation agreements with local enterprises in the city.

This competition focuses on new energy and new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, metal deep processing, and rare earth deep processing, among other fields, and solicits high-level talent entrepreneurship projects with core competitiveness and growth potential around the world.

The "Comprehensive Application of Electrolyte Plasma Surface Treatment Technology" project of Hefei Hagong Plysch Intelligent Equipment Co was among the winners. Chen Kansong, founder of the project, said, "Our project focuses on new energy and manufacturing enterprises. The landing application of AI in the industrial field is very suitable, so Baotou is a great choice."

At the award ceremony on the same day, the launching ceremony of the Saichuang Future (Baotou) International Talent Science and Innovation Center and Baotou Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship College was held, both of which will promote the linkage of talent, cities and industries.

In June this year, the city will hold the second competition and welcome the participation of scientific and technological talent from all over the world.
