After the spring snowfall on Feb 19, 151 tourists from South China's Guangdong province and nearby locations arrived in Baotou. They are on a four-day and three-night leisure tour of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The hospitable herdsmen received the guests with the highest courtesies of Mongolia, such as a welcoming horse team and blue Hada – a long piece of silk.
A tourist surnamed Chen, from Macao Special Administrative Region, said, "This is my first time in Baotou. I feel the enthusiasm of the locals here. The majestic horse team is exciting. The beautiful and colorful clothes give people a sense of grandeur."
Many tourists appreciated the snow scenery and posed for group photos in various poses. A child from Guangdong said, "This is the first time I have seen such heavy snow. I am very happy."
During meal time, tourists praised the mutton, a local delicacy, and were entertained by the wonderful cultural performances.
Next, they will try their hand at skiing at the ski resorts, and will also visit Xiangsha Bay and other famous attractions.
