North Heavy in Baotou selected as national high-tech enterprise
The leading group for the identification and management of national high-tech enterprises issued the second group of high-tech enterprises identified in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region in 2022, which included Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co in Baotou.
Enterprises must be reconfirmed as national high-tech enterprises every three years. The designation is an important indicator of a company's scientific and technological innovation strength and makes it eligible for national tax preferential policies.
It is also reported that the China Electricity Council recently announced the list of winners of the 2022 Electric Power Innovation Award, with the innovative achievement of Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co – "Key Technologies and Applications for the Manufacturing and Service Safety of the Four Major Pipelines of Ultra-supercritical Units" – winning the first-place prize.
When the steam temperature in a furnace is no less than 593 C or the steam pressure is no less than 31 MPa, it is called ultra-supercritical.
The project means that the four major pipelines of ultra-supercritical units no longer have to be imported from abroad, as it provides a viable domestic alternative, independent control of key technologies and technical guarantee of service safety, which plays an important role in promoting technological progress in the industry.
All the achievements of the project have been successfully applied in Jiangsu Nantong Power Plant and Huadian Jurong Power Plant Phase II of the localization demonstration project and applied to thermal power projects in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
