Baotou receives $41m in air pollution prevention funds

According to a recently-released report, the number of days with good air quality in Baotou in 2022 was 323, 20 days more than that of 2021.
So far this year, the city has received 283 million yuan ($41.17 million) in various air pollution prevention funds.
In recent years, Baotou has been focusing on pollution prevention and control, and made significant progress toward achieving peak carbon emission and carbon neutrality.
The funds will focus on supporting the construction of projects in northern of Baotou in order to help provide clean heating in winter and bring about an industrial ultra-low emission transformation.
In this way, Baotou will further improve the air environment quality and reduce the emissions of various air pollutants.
