Baotou's free national fitness activity month has recently come to an end. At the city's major sports venues, the enthusiasm for sports has been running high, helping the city's sports industry to resume business.

During the month, fitness tickets and field fees at designated venues were fully subsidized by the Baotou municipal bureau of sports.

"From Jan 14 to Feb 12, nearly 10,000 residents came to the center to participate in five events, including swimming and skating," said Guo Jia, marketing director of the Baotou Sports Center.

"I have an annual pass here, and this time I got five free tickets for my children to experience the center with me, which is very nice," said resident Liu Qing, as he swam at the center's swimming pool with his children.
