Liang Weidong's entrepreneurial team from the Yunlu strawberry picking garden recently live streamed in Hedong town, Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, to promote strawberries and other agricultural products. The live event was watched by 18,000 people.

"In the past, farmers were limited to traditional sales channels, but sales were poor and efficiency was low due to limited reach. This gave me the idea of selling strawberries online. The Douyin live streaming account of the Donghe bureau of human resources and social security enabled me to expand the sales channels of strawberries," Liang said.

The bureau and the district's employment and entrepreneurship alliance have recently launched a Douyin livestreaming sales campaign.

"The campaign has increased opportunities for the surplus labor force in the district to start businesses and find employment," the person in charge of the bureau said.

The internet provides a new platform for entrepreneurs and jobseekers. By the end of February this year, nearly 100 people had found jobs relying on the brand of Donghe’s employment and entrepreneurship alliance.
