The 20th China International Meat Industry Exhibition opened in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, on April 20, with a total of 71 enterprises from Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, exhibiting 33 kinds of agricultural products.

Baotou, located at 41 degrees north latitude, is ideal for growing corn, mixed grains and beans, as well as vegetables adapted to a cool climate. Baotou abounds in green agricultural and livestock products which are purely natural and pollution-free.
"We are in the business of green food, and are excited to see so many green and organic products with regional characteristics in Baotou. We hope to cooperate with companies in the city," said Shi Guozhong, a Shanghai-based exhibitor.
According to Wang Lei, head of Inner Mongolia Fengyu Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co, the company signed an order worth 1 million yuan ($145,097) with a customer based in Shanghai on the same day.
