Baotou launched the 2023 Intellectual Property Publicity Week on April 22, entitled "Strengthening the Legal Protection of Intellectual Property and Supporting All-Round Innovation".

The event aims to promote intellectual property innovation and raise general awareness of intellectual property.

At the launch ceremony, three municipal government departments signed the Framework Agreement on Strengthening the Connection Between Administrative Law Enforcement and Judicial Trial of Intellectual Property in Baotou.

At the same time, the Baotou market supervision administration also promoted Baotou's intellectual property intelligence supervision platform.

A total of 50 publicity display boards for intellectual property laws and related regulations were set up at the event site, and more than 5,000 copies of various publicity materials were distributed to residents while consultation services on laws and regulations related to intellectual property were provided for residents.

In recent years, Baotou has taken intellectual property rights as an important driver of innovation-driven development and made every effort to become a city with strong intellectual property rights.

By the end of 2022, 26,609 patents had been granted in the city, a year-on-year growth of 21 percent. The total number of valid registered trademarks in the city was 38,144, a year-on-year growth of 13.8 percent.
