The Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone has accelerated the gathering of rare earth industry resources and sci-tech companies since the beginning of this year, achieving core technology breakthroughs in certain key fields.
There are now only a few workers in the digital production workshop of Baotou Jiangxin Micromotor Technology Co, as AI robots have started to replace them.
Baotou Jiangxin Micromotor Technology Co is an innovative tech company that specializes in the R&D, productionand sales of voice coil motors (VCMs). It also serves as a terminal application enterprise in the rare earth industry.
At present, the company is running a double track VCM automatic production line – the only one of its kind in the world.
"A traditional monorail production line requires 30 people per line and can produce 7,500 VCMs per hour; the new twin-track production line requires only 10 people to work on each line, doubling the capacity to 15,000 VCMs," said Li Bin, the company's deputy general manager.
"Our products are widely used in electronics, aerospace and other high-tech micromotors," Li added.
In addition, a robot that polishes electrolytic aluminum carbon blocks is being developed and is now undergoing performance tests at Inner Mongolia BKJD Robot Co's workshop. It can keep working around the clock in heavily polluted and other harsh environments for maximum efficiency.
