Baotou's innovation sub-race in Shanghai ends

On May 12, The Baotou (Shanghai) City Promotion Fair and the Shanghai Branch Race of the second Baotou Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition ended, with 11 shortlisted projects on a road show. Hondlon district in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, held the event.

According to Yang Zhiguo, deputy director of the Hondlon district bureau of science and technology, this sub-race focused on key industries such as new energy, new materials, and high-end manufacturing. The shortlisted projects had a road show focusing on team ability, technological innovation, project feasibility, industrialization prospect, and landing feasibility.

Nowadays, abundant scientific and educational resources, high-quality human resources, and good innovation and entrepreneurship ecology make more high-end talents work and live in Hondlon.

Up to now, Hondlon is home to 18 national and autonomous region-level key laboratories, accounting for 66 percent of the city, two academician expert workstations, 41 R&D institutions of various types, and 45 national high-tech enterprises.

"Through this sub-race, we were able to communicate with so many outstanding entrepreneurs and investors, which solved many difficulties in the development of our company," said Zhao Tianyu, deputy manager of Xirui Material Technology (Shanghai) Co, who participated in the event.
