An event promoting cross-regional employment and entrepreneurship was launched in Baotou on May 21. A large-scale talent recruitment fair was held at the same time.
The two events were jointly organized by the local governments of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Hebei, Shanxi and Qinghai provinces, as well as the cities of Beijing and Tianjin. Some 500 enterprises participated, offering a total of 30,000 job vacancies. At the same time, six live-streaming events were carried out to boost online recruitment.

Inside the newly built service area, job seekers can access a dynamic database to find more precise employment data presented in real time.
"There are so many posts!" said a job seeker looking to work in Baotou, who was pleasantly surprised by the scale of the event. "At such a large job fair, we have a much higher chance of successfully landing a job.”
The live-streams reportedly attracted 656,000 views on the day of the event. Wang Bei, deputy head of the security department of the autonomous regional federation of trade unions, said the online campaign will continue for a month.
During this period, the union will provide more accurate employment data for job seekers.
