A robot research and development center jointly established by Baogang Group Electric Co and Inner Mongolia BKJD Robot Co was unveiled in the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Baotou on May 18.

The center will come up with solutions that can address the actual needs of the site and free industrial workers from critical working conditions.

After establishing the center, the two sides will carry out robot replacement and transformation work in some production scenes in the subordinate enterprises of Baogang Group.

Xu Deguang, general manager of Inner Mongolia BKJD Robot Co, said, "We have two cooperation projects with Baogang. One is the field inspection of rare earth steel sheets. A whole set of actions, such as cutting and visual inspection by a robot arm, field sampling, and inspection, will be completed from production materials to production line products. The other is the intelligent inspection of the substation of Baotou Huamei Rare Earth High-tech Co, a subsidiary of Baogang, which can effectively solve the safety risks such as the omission of key data reading in the manual inspection."

"Next, we will push forward the process of intelligent transformation of industrial enterprises in fields such as rare earth and high-end equipment manufacturing," Xu said.
