Baotou's wind power project connects to grid power supply
The 220-kilovolt network project of the 400,000-kilowatt wind power base project in Guyang county, Baotou, recently connected to the grid power supply, improving Baotou power grid new energy installed capacity, helping Baotou build a national clean energy demonstration base.
This network project is a crucial guarantee grid-connected project in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, with a total investment of 73.47 million yuan ($10.24 million), a total length of 38.59 kilometers of new lines, and 116 new-built towers.
After the completion of the project, it can save about 580,000 metric tons of raw coal and reduce about 157 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year, which is of great significance to improving the regional energy structure and building a green and low-carbon energy supply system.
This year, Baotou Power Supply Co has increased its power to promote the construction of new energy projects, and it is expected that by the end of the year, a series of support wind power and photovoltaic projects will be connected to the grid in the city, including Guyang Changsheng light storage power station.
By the end of 2023, the proportion of new energy in Baotou is expected to exceed 40 percent, which will help the green transformation of the regional development mode and fully absorb clean energy.
