Dongdashan Art festival entertains public with pizzazz
The seventh Dongdashan Art Festival kicked off on June 22 in Qingshan district of Baotou city, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
During the three-day art festival, more than 20 art activities were staged and a fireworks show and a grand BBQ were added to showcase the compelling charms of the countryside.

The opening day of the festival coincided with the Dragon Boat Festival holiday – with many parents and children going there to experience things like making dough sculptures, zongzi (stick rice dumplings) – and pottery.

At a cattlehide carving studio, craftsman Liu Yang said that since opening his studio in Dongdashan last year, the once little-known intangible cultural heritage skill had become very popular.

In order to boost its range of offerings in culture and tourism, this year's art festival featured activities related to horses.
On the opening day of the festival, the Qingshan district digital intangible heritage 3D cloud pavilion was also officially launched. Through the WeChat account of the Qingshan District Cultural Museum, the public were able to see a VR panoramic display of the pavilion and appreciate the charms of intangible cultural heritage.
"We come here every year. A lot of folk culture can be reflected in the game, so that children learn a lot of things from it," said tourist Wei Zhixia.
