Baotou students shine at World Robot Contest
The "Industrial Machine Vision Programming and Application Competition" of the secondary vocational group of the World Robot Contest ended in Yantai city, East China's Shandong province. On behalf of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Lin Hongbo and Wu Haotian, students from Baotou Machinery Industry Occupation School, won second prize in the competition.
At the competition, Lin and Wu completed the installation and debugging of the light source, the installation and debugging of mechanical and electrical, and the programming and debugging of visual inspection within three hours, showing excellent technical skills and a high level of professional literacy.
The robot industry is the hottest frontier industry currently.
At present, Baotou is building two major industrial clusters, "World Rare Earth City" and "World Green Silicon City," and building five strategic emerging industry clusters of onshore wind power equipment, advanced metal materials, carbon fiber, and polymer new materials, new energy heavy trucks and supporting industries, as well as hydrogen energy storage. Related industries are highly related to the robot industry.
Since its inception in 2015, the World Robot Contest has attracted more than 200,000 players from over 20 countries worldwide and is widely praised as the Olympics of the robot industry.
