The 2023 Baotou Half Marathon is scheduled to start in Baotou at 7 am on Aug 6. The size of the event is 10,000 participants, including 6,000 in the half marathon (21.0975 kilometers), 2,000 participants in the "healthy run" (10 km), and 2,000 participants in the "fun run"(5 km).

Registration will be open from 7 am on July 13 to 12 am on July 20.

The prize money for the first to third-place men and women in the half marathon is 10,000 yuan ($1,400), 6,000 yuan, and 4,000 yuan, respectively.

Half marathon and "healthy run" participants must be at least 16 years old. There is no age limit on "fun runs". But participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Before registering for the event, the organizing committee strongly suggests that all participants undergo a thorough physical examination, which should include but not limited to electrocardiogram, myocardial enzyme, blood pressure, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, cardiopulmonary, and liver and kidney function. This examination should be conducted within one month of the race by a reputable medical institution to ensure that participants are physically capable of participating in a long-distance run.
