ITF World Tennis Masters Tour held in Baotou

"I came from Korea to participate in the ITF tournament in Baotou," Li Huizi, a Chinese tennis fan who has settled in South Korea for a long time, came to Baotou to participate in the 2023 ITF World Tennis Masters Tour MT100 Baotou kicked off on July 14.

The event was authorized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), hosted by the Chinese Tennis Association, and undertaken by the Baotou sports bureau. The event is held in Baotou for the first time, with a total prize of 108,000 yuan ($15,063).

"We aim to promote the widespread development of national fitness activities through this event," said Zhang Xue, deputy director of the Baotou sports bureau.

From July 14, the event lasted for three days, attracting more than 370 tennis fans from 13 provinces and cities across the country.

It is understood that the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour is an international tennis event held for tennis lovers over the age of 35, and more than 500 events are held in more than 70 countries and regions every year, attracting players from all over the world to participate.

This year, the ITF International Tennis Masters Tour set up nine stops in China.
