Baotou Yellow River Chorus Festival comes to a close

The first Baotou Yellow River Chorus Festival came to a satisfying close on July 25 with a mesmerizing vocal performance.
Nearly 1,800 performers from 41 choirs across the country participated in the activity, participating in choral competitions, professional choral training and choir performances.
At the closing ceremony, eight choirs once again gave a heartfelt performance, winning thunderous applause.
Winning choirs participating in the competition were then honored. The Guyang County Culture Hall Choir from the city of Baotou won bronze, the Hongfeng Choir from Cangnan county, Zhejiang province won silver, and the No 25 High School Fanxing Choir from Hebei province won gold.

Zhang Demei, a top Chinese composer and vice president of the China Choral Association, highly praised the choir festival: "The venue of the festival was of high quality, and the songs selected by the different chiors were extremely diverse."
