Baotou professor helps athletes shine at intl walking race

Professor Tian Ruifeng of the Sports Teaching Department of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology in Baotou served as the head coach at the national walking race of the 31st summer edition of the FISU World University Games held in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, from July 28 to Aug 8.
The team led by Tian performed very well in the games. They won the 20-kilometer men's team championship, the 20-km women's team championship, and the 20-km men's individual runner-up and women's individual third place.
The Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology is the vice president of the track and field branch of the National University Sports Association. Teachers and students at the university have represented China in the FISU World University Games for the past six years, and have received one gold medal, five silver medals and one bronze medal.
