The Conference on the Coordinated Development of Rare Earth Industrial Chain and Supply Chain was held in Baotou on Aug 16.

It is also the first national rare earth industry upstream and downstream matchmaking conference in recent years. Relevant associations, critical rare earth enterprises, and government officials attended the conference.

The event has a goal to accelerate the construction of the largest rare earth new material base in the country, as well as the world's leading rare earth application base. It also aims to encourage the matching of rare earth raw materials, new materials, and application enterprises. Moreover, it will provide support for the protective development, high-quality utilization, and standardized management of the rare earth industry. The event seeks to upgrade China's rare earth industry from "world-class reserves" to "world-class industry."

At the meeting, three rare earth raw material enterprises such as China North Rare Earth (Group) High-tech Co, four rare earth new material enterprises such as Jinli Permanent Magnet (Baotou) Technology Co, as well as six rare earth application enterprises such as Suzhou Inovance Technology Co made presentations. They have agreed to collaborate on 10 projects involving industry research, 20 projects related to industrial operations, and 20 projects focused on meeting production demands.
