People from all over the cultural and art circles who participated in the 2023 annual meeting of the Chinese Public Cultural Centers in Baotou visited Dongdagou village, an art town in Baotou, on Sept 4, to enjoy achievements of rural vitalization.

Visitors were immediately drawn in by the stunning array of vibrant colors showcased in the camel-shaped sculptures, wall paintings, pottery workshops, and dough sculptures.

Wang Xujuan, a staff member of the Xiaodian District Public Cultural Center in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, said, "The artists in Dongdagou village live in harmony with local villagers. They combine the artistic atmosphere with the local atmosphere very well."

"I hope more artists will gather here with more art forms and contribute to rural vitalization," said Zhang Jinshan, an official of the Jiang county bureau of culture and tourism in Shanxi.

Dongdagou village has become a unique scenic spot with culture and tourism as its main focus in recent years. The village has received recognition as a national civilized village, a key village of rural vitalization in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and a rural tourism demonstration village in Baotou, making exemplary achievements in rural vitalization.
