The fourth China-Mongolia Expo was held in Hohhot, the capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 6-10. The event was hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce, Mongolia's Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, as well as the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The expo aims to enhance connectivity between the two countries, promote the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, and support the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
More than 60 enterprises in Baotou – including Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Co, Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co, Baotou Beiben Heavy Vehicle Group Co, and Shuangliang New Energy Technology (Baotou) Co – participated in the event.
The exhibits are being displayed in the "Exhibition Area of Baotou's Industrial Manufacturing Achievements" and the "Exhibition Area of Outdoor Equipment".
The former mainly focuses on publicity materials promoting a good business environment and strong industrial base, products of advanced equipment manufacturing, as well as the developmental achievements revolving around sci-tech innovation.
These achievements are all part of Baotou's mission to build a "World Rare Earth City", "World Green Silicon City", and five new industrial clusters – including those in onshore wind power equipment, advanced metal materials, carbon fiber and polymer materials, new energy heavy trucks and supporting equipment, and hydrogen energy storage.
The exhibition area will also display Baotou's achievements in supporting the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.
During the event, a series of activities are also being held, including the Economic and Trade Fair of China Opening to Mongolia.
