The 2023 China Silicon Industry Conference is held in the city of Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 12. Industry professionals across China gathered in Baotou – the "World Green Silicon City" – to seek a better future for the silicon industry.

The tagline for the conference is "crystalline silicon photovoltaic helps energy transformation, new energy leads industrial development".

Zhao Jiasheng, president of the Silicon Branch of the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association, attended the conference's opening ceremony and made a keynote report. Duan Debing, vice president and secretary-general of the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association, is presiding over the opening ceremony.

The China Silicon Industry Conference is the most influential crystalline silicon event in China. It provides an opportunity for Inner Mongolia autonomous region to learn about development trends in the industry and cutting-edge technology and promote exchanges and cooperation within the industry.

The conference will last two days, during which time well-known experts and entrepreneurs involved in the crystalline silicon photovoltaic sector from all over China will interpret the industry's macro situation and policy orientation through industrial development forums and high-level seminars.

Meanwhile, market prospects and technical trends will be discussed and cooperation among enterprises in the industrial chain will be negotiated.
