Baotou held a training exchange meeting for talent in the silicon industry on Sept 13.
At the meeting, experts discussed topics related to the silicon industry's intellectualization, automation, and more, in order to promote the high-quality development of silicon-based materials and the photovoltaic industry.
Lin Ruhai, vice president of the Silicon Industry Branch of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, attended the meeting, saying, "In recent years, the China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association has attached great importance to the cultivation of silicon industry talent."
"The association established a system of talent training and ability evaluation in the silicon industrial chain to help strengthen the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in the silicon industry," he added.
Lyu Qingsong, director of the Consulting Department of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Talent Center, shared the "ideas for talent training according to national professional standards" at the meeting.
He believes that by setting up professional teams and evaluation question banks, technical evaluation can be carried out on technical talents such as polysilicon preparers, semiconductor material preparers and wafer processors so that the competence of people in the silicon industry can be continuously improved.
The meeting benefited Zhang Jiuhao, deputy director of the production-education integration center of Baotou Light Industry Vocational and Technical College. Zhang said he would apply what he learned at the meeting to his teaching work.
