The first Beautiful Baotou National Photography Exhibition was launched in Baotou on Sept 27 and is ongoing.

More than 100 photographic works on show captured projects in the crystalline silicon industry, horse riding events, urban scenery and other images.

The exhibition collected works online from June 25 to Aug 1. During the period, the Photography Art Center of the China Federation of Literary and Art called on photographers across the country to take pictures in Baotou.

A total of 5,025 entries were received. The best works among them were selected for exhibition in the Inner Mongolia Art Museum for several days.

Wang Ru, vice president of the Baotou Photographers Association, participated in the event. "Since June, I have visited many places, including Saikhantal Urban Grassland and Baogang Group, with photographers from other cities," she said.

"We took many beautiful photos and witnessed this colorful city."
