National new tech meeting held in Baotou
The 2023 New Technology of Non-destructive Testing Exchange Meeting was held in Baotou city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Oct 12.
Well-known experts and scholars in the field of non-destructive testing – including the Beijing Institute of Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University and other universities, research institutions, and enterprises – delivered reports at the event. Experts in the application field of non-destructive testing in the autonomous region were invited to deliver special reports.
All experts and scholars jointly studied the development planning and key work of the non-destructive testing society with participants to promote the sustainable and healthy development of non-destructive testing.
Participant Fan Xingzhao, business director of Shandong Ruixiang Mold Co, said that non-destructive testing has been widely used in various fields in modern industry. The technology is able to reduce production costs and improve the material utilization rate and production efficiency so that products meet requirements in terms of performance and economic benefits.
"Baotou is a large market for the application of non-destructive testing, which will play an important role in the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, the development of new industries, and further improvements in the competitiveness of products," said Zhang Jie, vice chairman of the Baotou Science and Technology Association.
Moving forward, Baotou will take this exchange as an opportunity to strengthen technological research and development, optimize its industrial structure, and promote cooperation with enterprises nationwide.
