Baotou Airport – located in Baotou city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – recently launched a special airfare promotion called the Elderly Exclusive 9-yuan ($1.2) Ticket, aimed at providing cheaper and more convenient travel options for senior travelers.

From Oct 12 to 28, Baotou Airport has partnered with Tianjin Airlines to offer discount airfares on the Baotou-Xilinhot route – as well as the Baotou-Tongliao route – for passengers aged 60 and above. That's excluding airport construction fees and fuel surcharges.

Eligible travelers can purchase the discounted tickets on Ctrip and Tongcheng Travel websites three days in advance, with sales available daily from 8:00 am to 4:50 pm.

In addition, on arriving in Baotou from Xilinhot or Tongliao, passengers will have the convenience of seamless connections to 15 other cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
