Baotou's industrial water-saving equipment joins national catalog
The "Steel Structure Tower Natural Ventilation Energy-Saving Water-Saving Industrial Water Recycling System" developed by Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) Co has now been included in a national catalog.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the "Catalog of Industrial Water-Saving Processes, Technologies, and Equipment Encouraged by the State (2023)".
This system has been applied in the company's monocrystalline silicon industrial water recycling and cooling project. Compared to conventional dry-wet combined mechanical ventilation towers, it can save 92.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and conserve 4.2 million metric tons of water annually, achieving a water-saving rate of over 80 percent. The energy and water-saving effects are significant.
This system can be applied not only to photovoltaic production companies dealing with industrial silicon, polycrystalline silicon, and monocrystalline silicon but also holds the potential for future expansion into various industries – such as coal, chemical and power generation which consume a substantial amount of industrial cooling water.
In recent years, the city has phased out any outdated production processes and equipment, encouraging businesses to adopt advanced water-saving appliances and equipment, continuously enhancing the industrial water use efficiency in the city.
