Culture festival in Baotou joins list of national outstanding brands
The 14th China Festival Culture and Tourism Conference took place in Hefei, the provincial capital of East China's Anhui, from Nov 17 to 20.
The Deer City Cultural and Art Festival of Baotou City and the Qin Great Wall Cultural Tourism Festival of Baotou were honored with the title of "Outstanding Brands of Chinese Festivals".
The conference brought together experts and scholars from the national cultural tourism industry. Through a series of forums, they analyzed the status quo and prospects of cultural and tourism festival activities in the context of the current economic recovery.
Discussions revolved around innovative development and the creation of region-specific cultural and tourism festival activities.
The conference emphasized that the awarded events stood out among approximately 6,000 large-scale activities nationwide, demonstrating significant social influence.
The recognition of these two festivals in Baotou was considered a major achievement in promoting the integration of culture and tourism and building cultural brands.
This success is expected to play a positive role in further enhancing the external influence of festival activities in the city, and attracting more visitors from other regions.
Notably, the Deer City Culture and Art Festival of Baotou City has been held continuously for 38 sessions since 1986. The 38th edition, held from the end of July to September, featured a wide range of cultural and tourism activities across the city, with a cumulative audience of over two million people.
Since its inception in 2004, the Qin Great Wall Cultural Tourism Festival of Baotou has been staged 20 times, introducing cultural tourism strategies related to sightseeing, study tours, and fitness activities.
