Baotou joins in national meeting for eye tumors
Recently, an eye tumor branch meeting of the 2023 Chinese Congress of Holistic Integrative Oncology, sponsored by the Ocular Oncology Sub-committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, was held in Baotou city.
Academicians and professors in the field of ophthalmology from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Sichuan, Baotou, and other places gathered at the branch meeting to exchange academic insights on the latest developments in the field of ocular oncology worldwide.
During the event, Bian Hongxia, president of the Fourth Hospital of Baotou and director of Baotou Eye Hospital, delivered the opening speech.

She expressed hope that this conference would promote the development of ocular oncology, enhance understanding of the latest advancements in the field, both in China and abroad, provide more opportunities for collaboration among researchers, and ultimately contribute to better treatment options and services for patients.
Following the opening ceremony, experts and professors from medical institutions such as Beijing Tongren Hospital and the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center of Sun Yat-sen University shared their research on topics including the ultrasound diagnosis of leukocoria, clinical risk factors and the correlation analysis of retinoblastoma, as well as that pertaining to rare tumors in the eye socket.
The meeting, with its rich content covering a wide range of professional knowledge, showcased various perspectives on hot topics in the field of ocular oncology. It provided insights into the current diagnosis, treatment, and research progress of orbital diseases and ocular tumors across China.
