Updated: 2023-11-28

The Baotou bureau of commerce recently held a roundtable meeting on newly established foreign-invested enterprises in 2023 in Qingshan district, Baotou city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Officials from Qingshan, Donghe, Jiuyuan, and Shiguai districts, the Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and representatives of newly established foreign-invested enterprises in the city attended the meeting.

Prior to the meeting, representatives from Mengniu Dairy, a Sino-Hong Kong joint venture, led the participants on a tour of the Mengniu Baotou factory. They showcased the central control room, preprocessing workshop, and filling workshop and explained the technological processes of product production, market expansion, and corporate culture.

During the visit, Mengniu Dairy exchanged information with participating enterprises about the policies and services enjoyed in Baotou, encouraging companies to have confidence in their development and continuously expand production capacity.

During the meeting, representatives of various foreign-invested enterprises discussed production and operation situations and future investment plans. They also raised concerns regarding project approval, financing, and policy support. The district-level commerce departments responded to the concerns raised by the enterprises.

In addition, officials from the bureau provided interpretations of the national, autonomous region, and city-related policies. They encouraged foreign-invested enterprises already in Baotou to leverage their resources and attract more upstream and downstream-related industrial projects to settle in Baotou.
