During the unveiling ceremony of the authorization, Pei Hanjun, director of the hospital, said that this is the first professional cardiovascular first aid training center in Baotou. This signified a significant enhancement of the hospital's training capabilities and overall strength and a commitment to further strengthen the training of students after the unveiling. The hospital aimed to standardize the cardiovascular emergency procedures for all staff members and improve the internal resuscitation rate.

It is worth noting that the AHA is one of the most authoritative professional organizations in the global cardiovascular field. It was founded in 1924 to promote the widespread use of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques among experienced medical personnel and the public. Over 80 percent of countries worldwide use the emergency guidelines and training courses developed by AHA.

In 2022, the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College initiated comprehensive preparations to establish itself as an American Heart Association (AHA) training center. Rigorous measures were taken to enhance training facilities and procure advanced simulation equipment. Consequently, six chief physicians from the hospital successfully acquired instructor qualifications for Basic Life Support (BLS). Subsequently, 72 students underwent the BLS course, attaining globally recognized Basic Life Support Provider certificates issued by the AHA.

Moving forward, these six instructors will conduct AHA training in the local area to promote enhancing emergency response capabilities for medical teams and the overall society in Baotou.
