In 2023, Baotou has been intensifying government investment in technological innovation, coordinating various special funds to ensure the smooth implementation of nine major projects, 112 technology transfer projects, and nine significant sci-tech initiatives in the city.

The city has been supporting seven key initiatives in particular, including the introduction and implementation of the 3D printing powder project at the 52 Institute of China North Industries Group and the construction of the North Qichuan Sci-tech Innovation Industrial Park.

The city has also introduced the "Implementation Plan for Improving the Management of Local Government Financial Research Funds", reforming the ways in which research funds are used and managed. This has created a favorable institutional environment for researchers to focus on their studies, further enhancing the efficiency of fund utilization for sci-tech projects.

Moving forward, Baotou will continue to optimize mechanisms for the use of financial science and technology funds and accelerate the establishment of a sci-tech investment and financing system guided by government input, led by corporate investment, supported by bank credit and financial capital, and supplemented by private investment.

This effort is aimed at stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship and providing support for the high-quality development of Baotou.
