During the forum on the construction of China's rare earth new material base and the world's leading rare earth application base, journalists gained a more detailed understanding of stories behind the construction of these bases in the city.

The Baotou Rare Earth Products Exchange's independently developed rare earth industry big data platform – integrating data collection, processing, display, and visualization – sparked their interest.

Following the interviews that effectively gathered snapshots of Baotou's image from various perspectives, the reporters developed a new understanding of the city.

"From these interviews, I felt the strong momentum from Baotou in building these two rare earth bases," said Miao Yang, a journalist from People's Daily Inner Mongolia Channel.

"From photovoltaic wind power to the new energy equipment industry, everything was impressive. Next, we will continue to pay attention to Baotou's economic development and tell that story," said Yu Jian, a journalist from the Inner Mongolia branch of Economic Daily.
