Baotou hospital provides medical training for Rwanda hospital

Baotou Central Hospital, along with Masaka Hospital in Rwanda and the 23rd batch of medical aid teams to Rwanda, jointly hosted the second Sino-Rwandan Nursing Symposium on Dec 14.
2023 marks the 60th anniversary of China dispatching medical aid teams to Africa. From 1986 to the present year, Baotou has sent 11 teams comprising 23 medical personnel to support medical work in Rwanda.

During the symposium, Herve, clinical director of Masaka Hospital, expressed his wish to establish a sister hospital relationship with Baotou Central Hospital, allowing doctors and nurses from Masaka Hospital to learn new technologies and practices from China.
Zhang Guili, deputy secretary of the Party branch of the medical aid team to Rwanda, also from Baotou Central Hospital, delivered a speech.
She reported that the team has performed over 300 surgeries throughout the year, organized two international conferences, conducted one research project, and completed their mission, earning recognition from Masaka Hospital.
During the symposium, He Jianxia from Baotou Central Hospital's Nursing Department conducted online CPR training. Neurologist Li Yan from Baotou Central Hospital provided online training on how to properly wear and use protective clothing, wear sterile gloves, and use sterile canisters.
