Baotou pilot project for silicon industry service base
The State Administration for Market Regulation recently issued a notice regarding infrastructure integrated service bases, identifying 14 pilot projects.
The national quality infrastructure integrated service base for the silicon crystal materials industry, proposed by Baotou city, was one of the first such projects to receive approval.
The aim of these bases is to address key quality and technological issues in the development of local or nearby distinctive and advantageous industries.
These projects also emphasize enhancing the resilience and safety levels of industry and supply chains. They also intend to promote the improvement of industrial competitiveness and the coordinated enhancement of industry and supply chain quality.
The project in Baotou city is a collaborative effort between the inspection and testing center of Baotou's market supervision administration, Inner Mongolia Tongwei High-Purity Silicon Co, and Inner Mongolia Hongyuan New Materials (Baotou) Co.
As per the project construction plan, Baotou city will establish modern inspection and testing laboratories in key industrial parks, focusing on the development needs of the silicon crystal industry.
Additionally, the city will strengthen R&D efforts and technological cooperation in key core technologies and common technical challenges. It will also generate a series of research results for application and promotion of related industries.
