Baotou opens 14th CPPCC Baotou Municipal Committee session

Members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, or the CPPCC, from various sectors in Baotou city – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – recently made preparations to meet.
Carrying meticulously prepared proposals, they opened the third session of the 14th CPPCC Baotou Municipal Committee on Jan 16 – planning the future development of the metropolis.

The opening of the session took place on the morning of Jan 16 at the Baotou First Workers' Cultural Palace. Over the next two and a half days of the session, committee members are making suggestions and contributing ideas towards achieving Baotou's goal of advancing up the ranks of about 10 positions on the list of the top 100 cities in China.
The diverse backgrounds of the Baotou’s CPPCC members, representing various industries and sectors, are said to reflect a comprehensive approach to addressing the developmental challenges and opportunities in Baotou.
As they deliberate and exchange ideas, the focus remains on fostering strategies that will propel Baotou's growth and progress on both the regional and national scales. The delegates are said to be ready to play a crucial role in shaping the trajectory of Baotou's development for the benefit of its residents and the broader community.
