A talent training and sci-tech innovation center, co-built by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Baotou city, was officially launched in Shenzhen city, South China's Guangdong province, on Jan 31.

This move aims to implement the agreed items stated in the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between Guangdong Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region". It is also set to strengthen connectivity between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Baotou.

The two locations now plan to establish a talent introduction workstation, a sci-tech joint laboratory, a comprehensive service platform for rare earth application, and a cross-border e-commerce industry innovation center.

These initiatives will incubate a batch of high-quality sci-tech achievements and projects, which will help realize the complementary advantages and coordinated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's innovation and talent chains, as well as Baotou's rare earth chains.

During the talent training and sci-tech innovation center’s launch ceremony, the sci-tech joint laboratory and the Baotou talent introduction workstation were also unveiled. The comprehensive service platform for rare earth new materials was also simultaneously launched.
