Hohhot, Baotou join hands in education development
The Hohhot education bureau and the Baotou education bureau jointly signed the "Framework Agreement for Promoting High-Quality Education Development and Urbanization Cooperation" recently – in a bid to further lift the level of education quality development in Hohhot and Baotou cities.
Under the agreement, the two will join forces to create an experimental zone and a demonstration area for integrated education – providing intellectual and talent support for the economic and social development of both areas.
The accord sets out that the cities will establish a community for teacher training and development to achieve resource sharing in classroom teaching, school-based research and topic research.
They will also establish a community for vocational education development, to share and jointly build internship and training centers for teachers.
The agreement aims to optimize the enrollment policies for compulsory education in the metropolises – ensuring that migrant children enjoy the same education treatment as local children.
Additionally, it will aim to strengthen the exchange of sports and arts events between them, including joint performances and cultural exhibitions.
