Technologies help BRI countries accelerate green development
The third Belt and Road Initiative Economic and Environmental Cooperation Forum was recently held in Beijing, capital of China.
New technologies related to rare earth thermal insulation coating and rare earth coated glass, which were researched by Tianjin Baogang Rare Earth Research Institute Co, were selected for the 2023 BRI Ecological and Environmental Governance Technology catalog.
Tianjin Baogang Rare Earth Research Institute Co was established in August 2012, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earths in Baotou city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The forum aimed to share the concept and practices of green development under the Belt and Road Initiative. Of the attendees, nearly 500 were representatives and officials from enterprises, research institutions, and embassies in China. Other attendees were from United Nations agencies and relevant departments from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
The conference promoted cooperation worldwide, and provided a platform for exchange and cooperation.
The rare earth thermal insulation coating and rare earth coated glass technologies can selectively block near-infrared and ultraviolet energy, providing solutions that will reduce building energy consumption in existing and new buildings.
This selection gives high recognition to technologies that are significant in addressing global environmental issues. They contribute references for environmental governance worldwide.
In the future, Tianjin Baogang Rare Earth Research Institute Co will continue to provide technical support to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, helping them achieve green development.
