Around 11 am on Feb 4, the Hexi brigade received a call for help from a truck driver. The Belarusian truck driver was lost and unable to contact his local liaison in Baotou. Due to the language barrier, the on-duty police immediately dispatched an officer that was proficient in Russian to assist and communicate with him.

It was learned that the driver was driving the truck from Russia into China in order to deliver goods. As he was unable to contact his liaison company and was lost due to the snowy weather, the driver sought help from Baotou traffic police.

The traffic police quickly contacted the liaison company and used a traffic police car to guide the driver to his destination, where the goods were successfully delivered.

"I am very grateful to the Baotou traffic police. Although I am in a foreign country, my heart feels warm," stated the driver.

"This banner not only affirms our work, but also motivates us to fulfill our duties even better," said Zhang Xian, a Baotou traffic police officer.
