March 8 is International Women's Day, and several scenic areas in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, are offering discounts for women in celebration.

Today, Wudangzhao Temple Scenic Area, Baotou Ancient City, Yellow River Ballad Scenic Area, and North Weapon City Scenic Area are providing free admission for female visitors.

Moreover, Meidaizhao Scenic Area not only offers free admission for female visitors but also provides male companions with a 50-percent discount.

At Jiuli Hot Spring Resort, the regular ticket price is 78 yuan ($10.84), but female visitors can enjoy a discounted price of 38 yuan.

Additionally, Baotou Museum is hosting a series of special activities, showcasing artifacts related to ancient women and holding a DIY activity for making handmade flowers out of lightweight clay.
