On March 17, China's Traditional Chinese Medicine Day, a traditional Chinese medicine (Mongolian medicine) cultural promotion event kicked off in Baotou city.

This activity was organized by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Health Commission and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 

All medical institutions in the city, along with all traditional Chinese medicine clinics, simultaneously conducted free clinic activities at the event, with over 100 traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicine doctors participating.

"That pulse diagnosis was incredibly accurate," said Mrs Cui, who happened to encounter a free clinic. Thinking about her recent poor sleep, she decided to join the activity, and the symptoms diagnosed by doctor Liu Chunfu were all spot-on.

Liu emphasized that traditional Chinese medicine has a long history. In the current promotion of traditional Chinese medicine, the most important thing is to advocate the concept of "disease prevention". Traditional Chinese medicine is not just about treating diseases; it's a culture closely related to people's diet, rest, and other lifestyle factors.

Currently, all comprehensive hospitals in Baotou have set up departments of traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicine, and grassroots medical institutions have established traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicine clinics. The city's capacity for traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicine services is continuously improving.

Baotou has established three key national specialties in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, and it is home to 38 well-known traditional Chinese and Mongolian medicine experts.
